The Hindustani section is under the supervision of Guruji, Shree Uckiah, M.A University of Mumbai, who has spent about 30 years in teaching Hindustani music. Guruji has worked during several years at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute. He is still devoted in imparting his invaluable knowledge to students of all age.
Prior to enrollment for any of the courses below (except Performance Oriented), candidates will be required to undergo an aptitude test.

Electronic Keyboard (Hindustani songs with western notes)
Aged group: 7 years and above
Frequency: Once weekly (1 hour session)
Duration: 1 year per Grade
Objectives: On completion of the course, students are expected to know, scales (western) as per grade syllabus, techniques of fingering and playing simple melodies, selected hindi film songs or alternatively devotional songs.

Guitar Accompaniment (Hindustani songs based on western scales)
Aged group: above 10 years
Frequency: Once weekly
Duration: 1 year
Objectives: On completion of the course, students are expected to know basic major, minor chords, as well as some other chords, playing simple melodies and accompaniment for selected hindi film songs.

Objectives: After completing the one year course, students are expected to:
(i) Develop the ability to sing correctly the notes of the scale
(ii) To know basic Taals
(iii) To Sing Alankar and Sargam
(iv) To develop the sense of rhythm in different tempos.

Objectives: On completion of course, students are expected to know the techniques of fingering and playing simple melodies (dhun), light songs (geet) and devotional songs (bhajan and kirtan). Students will also be expected to play at least one Sargam of each of the parent scale.
